Ursa Major

In the noise of my mind, no starlight can emerge
Shall I purge myself of every single scourge
So in the deepest part of my heart, I rehearse
And now I know what will initiate this verse

A sadness, a sorrow, an illusion of snow
A canyon for the soul, and a cold that won’t go
A regret for heretofore, for all we can’t know
For the extinct fire, my liver for the crow

Apology to the dawn, my human nature
On this altar where I fawn, under Jupiter
My soul, my blood is drawn, my spirits surrender
To where I belong, the light of Ursa Major

The illumination, will I ever wonder
Was this ascension really to a bright cluster?
And in the silent art of the mind, I immerse
And finally, I now know what will close this verse
