As the storm stroke the stranded
As the bolts burned abodes
And the rubble laid on the roads
As the cries abruptly ended
As the dust settled down
And ceased concealing the Sun
Sixty-six souls, they were
Lifting more than they could bear
Those who remain wonder when they’ll die
And will forever damn this bloody sky
As the shells rumble and the homes tremble
Amidst the dark clouds, emerges God’s ray
Akin to a fishbowl in the rubble
Fiercely announcing yet another day
